Theremin keeps your music on your Mac.

Theremin is a trackpad instrument for macOS. Instrument settings, loops, and recordings remain on your Mac. The app has no account, analytics, advertising, or tracking.

No data collection

Theremin does not collect, sell, or share personal data. It contains no analytics, advertising, app account, or telemetry.

Audio permissions

Autotune can use your microphone, and Detect Key + Tempo can sample system audio with macOS Screen Recording permission. Both features run locally and only when you start them. Theremin does not upload or retain that source audio.

Recordings and settings

Recordings are written to the location you choose. Preferences are stored locally with macOS UserDefaults. You can remove recordings like any other file and reset app settings from your Mac.

Purchases

Payments on rynh.net are processed by Stripe. RYNH does not receive or store your full card number. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy.
